MIRABEAU
It’s the little village of « Manon des Sources » ( a famous novel by Marcel Pagnol) ;
Situated on the limits of the departments of Alpes de Haute Provence, Bouches du Rhône and Vaucluse , it stretches out in the sun by the foot of an age-old castle.
Here life is pleasant and we invite you to discover it..

“Mirar” means to see, “bel” means beautiful. “Mirabel”in the 12th century refers to an elevated place from where the view is unobstructed. In Provençal “Mirabeu”.
In Mirabeau you will follow in the footsteps of the famous orator of the French Revolution.
Just like its Landlord, this place is marked by the rigour of its huge castle. The houses, intensely packed together, convey an impression of power and you will be charmed by the quality of the wine and the beauty of the landscape.
Spend a moment sitting on the “Banc de la Marquise” ( the bench of the marchioness) to contemplate the scene over the valley. |
